Can you work while studying in Lithuania? Yes — and for many Moroccan students that possibility is part of what makes the budget work.
Lithuania allows international students to take paid work during their studies. There is no blanket restriction preventing a student from earning while enrolled.
Students may work up to 20 hours per week during term time. The cap is designed to keep employment from displacing coursework while still allowing you to earn and gain experience.
Part-time earnings will not usually cover tuition on their own, but they can make a real difference to living costs. Plan your budget on the assumption that tuition and your first months are covered from savings, with work supplementing later.
Work rights attach to your student residence permit, and the conditions are set by the Lithuanian authorities. Confirm the current rules for your permit type before you build them into your plans.
Our three offices can walk you through what this looks like for your own situation.
Please note: Tuition, living costs and visa requirements vary by university, programme and academic year, and are set by the Lithuanian authorities and each institution. Always confirm the current figures with the university and the relevant consulate before you apply.
